ADWxSplash: Into the Blue

Whenever its summer, I always try to wear something cool in color as much as possible so it makes me feel more comfortable and fresh. Blue is a very significant color this season since it represents coolness, the ocean, sailing etc.


Aside from colors, make sure that you're wearing the right kind of shoes, you can practically wear any footwear except above the ankle shoes. When you warm your feet, it also makes the whole body warmer so try to wear something that's not to heavy like uggs or military boots. Socks are also important, when you wear loafers look for the socks called "invisible socks"

Now I know it doesn't look so manly, but trust me, your feet will thank you for not giving them blisters! :D

ADW: Wrapped in Summer

It feels great that even if it's summer, I can still wear blazers yet still feel comfortable! I really like that bowtie pin that came with it, since I can't wear bowties all the time during the heat, its a good option to just pin it on the collar! :D

The shirt I'm wearing is surprisingly thin. When I wore it I said to myself "Oh gosh! This shirt is going to be my favorite!"Plus, I really like the lobster print!

This Billy Reid 2013 Mens Spring/Summer inspired look was one of the looks featured in Abu Dhabi Week.

Who knew the regular cargo shorts will look great with a blazer?!

I really liked how a not so fabulous clothing such as cargo shorts could actually look great if it was styled right! A proof that there are a lot of things you could do with with fashion, you just have to have a good eye and of course a lot of confidence to pull off a look.

H&M: Palm Beach

This summer, you can find a lot of reasons to go to the beach! Which also gives you tons of reasons to look like you've been there (even if you haven't! lol!).

Move over animal prints, its time for summer prints to shine! Beach palms and florals looks great in this season and prints that represents summer are also great stand out pieces!

Lightweight trousers like chinos looks great as well and will keep you cool and comfortable while boat shoes and loafers are very relevant and proper shoe choice this season. 

Here's a few things you should try to avoid this summer:

1. Beanies: Whats the point?!? I remember Max's line on the pilot of 2 Broke Girls "I wear knit hats when it's cold out. You wear knit hats 'cause of Coldplay." Cracks me up all the time! :))

2. Velvet fabrics: I'll give you a worse case scenario, If you don't want to faint don't wear it!

3. Dark colored clothes: Yeah it may protect you with harmful UV rays, but you'll find yourself drenching with sweat as these clothes absorbs heat and light, and to top it off, it doesn't look right for a bright and sunny day!

4. Those low rise hip hop jeans: I personally think these type of jeans should not exist anymore, its dated, baggy, very uncomfortable, heavy and its very hard to move around with it. So please, guys... Just no.

5. Sock + Sandals: NO!

As promised, I will post all the looks that was featured on Abu Dhabi Week for this month and this June (which is my birthday month btw!) with more pictures and a bit more about the look.

Iceberg Men Spring/Summer 2013

Basically the theme of the write up was to pull off runway inspired looks in a much more cheaper price. So this look was inspired by the one of the looks from the Iceberg Men Spring/Summer 2013 Collection. What I liked about the collection was that almost all looks that was featured in that collection was wearable and relatable and featured bright neon- modish colors which really caught my eyes.

This look specifically is very easy since its a basic Nautical look which is perfect for an any day where you want to be comfortable but still look stylish.

I Can Be Anyone I Want to Be

Its fun to play around clothes and be who ever you want to be. Sticking around with your usual style could sometimes feel boring, so I normally try out something new and see if it would look good on me.

So I lay my button downs, my blazer and my bowtie and I try to be a boy whenever I get the chance to. I think since last month I've been trying on clothes that I haven't found a chance to wear and yes, this would again be one of them. I bought that shirt on sale last December and I just can't seem to get it right until now. I probably got so used to my preppy, school-boy style that I just wanted to try something new.

I have a lot of fun looks in store this month and I'm really excited to share it to everyone!

Garage Inspired

If there's on magazine I can't live without it would be Garage Magazine! I've been inspired by this magazine since I was college and for me it's one of the top Men's fashion magazine in the Philippines.

Whenever I send money to put in my account in the Phil, I always ask my cousin to buy me a copy and send it here in Abu Dhabi once there's someone we know who will visit or come back home from vacation in Manila.

This magazine thought me a lot of things such as what trends that are currently in season, how to mix and match and what to wear on a certain occasion. Without this magazine, I would have never become as stylish as I am now so I'm always excited whenever I grab a new issue.

 

I wish one day I would be able to see myself featured in the magazine. Hey, a boy can wish right? :)

A Sport with Style

Shirt: Splash

The shirt I'm wearing is another dig up from last summer which I was not able to style right until today.

I really like golf since it's one of those sports where you're allowed to dress up! :)

I tried learning golf last December but I never really had enough time to focus on the sport since I have work and I'm blogging on the side so I had to skip some classes.

I did not find it boring though, but I was so surprised to find out how challenging it is since the movements you need to be able to play golf is something new to the body for a beginner. Its not like basketball or football where you can easily adapt and learn.

 

I would definitely try it again when Summer is almost over! :)

Its All About Color

I bought that tank last summer but I can't seem to find the perfect clothes to match with it. But I knew it would look good with colors so I guess the wait paid off.

Sometimes its good to put clothes aside when you're not sure what to wear it with and I'm sure you'll eventually find something great with it.

It really makes me happy when I'm able really stick on my style! I usually stay away from leather jackets because I thought it wont look good on me, but I figured with the right accessories and style instinct i knew I would be able to pull it off.

And why would I stay that awesome jacket?! Aside from the fact that it looks really cool, it was on sale! So yeah, that really sealed the deal!

I think this would be my favorite cool-guy look, even Little Lo looks awesome!
